Don’t forget: Andres Lilja gets in a fight, throws a punch that misses so badly he falls on the ice and hits his head. We’ll never trade him if he keeps that up

On this line, Nick Lidstrom got hit in the face with a puck last night. He has a cut above his eye, thank God it’s not more serious.

That’s good, as the players need a go-between them and the head coach. Not all head coaches are approachable with problems the players perceive to exist. An assistant that can do that makes every thing run smoother.

I’ve watched McCrimmon for the past few years (I live in Atlanta). He seems to have a good relationship with the players, and is pretty accessible to the fans.
